Thousand Island Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS
- Bread loaves (preferably white bread)
- Thousand island sauce (can be bought from local grocery store)
- Tomato ketchup
- 2 Medium sized onions
- 2 Medium sized tomatoes
- 1 Large cucumber
- Corn kernels (1 cup)
- Cottage cheese (50 grams)
- Black Pepper powder (half teaspoon)
- Table salt (half teaspoon)
- Chili flakes (1 sachet)
- Oregano (half teaspoon)
- Take the corn kernels and boil them for two minutes in a microwave safe dish.
- Transfer the boiled corn into a bowl and add finely chopped paneer cubes into it. Now add black pepper and salt. Give it a stir. The salad is ready.
- Thinly slice the onions, tomatoes and cucumber in a plate.
- To begin assembly, take two loaves of bread and remove the sides. Dry roast them over a nonstick tawa or grill.
- Take the bread loaves and add a spoon of ketchup and thousand island sauce on it. Spread it evenly.
- Now take a spoon of salad and place it on a loaf. Add the sliced vegetables on top of it. Sprinkle oregano leaves and chili flakes on top of it.
- Assemble the loaves together. Your sandwich is ready to be munched away!
OPTIONAL SUGGESTIONS
- You can add a variety of vegetables like cabbage, red cabbage, bell peppers, carrots etc.
- You can add chopped olives or jalapenos in the corn salad.
- You can use brown bread or Atta bread also.
