Veg Bullets

Hope you all are enjoying your winters to the full. But what makes winters so special is my love for hot sizzling foods. And when it is desi Chinese, it is extra special. So here i share with you my yet another food experience to make crispy veg bullets.
Ingredients
- 1 cabbage finely chopped
- 1 medium sized carrot finely chopped
- 1 medium sized capsicum finely chopped
- 2 medium sized boiled potatoes mashed
- 6-7 cloves of garlic finely chopped
- An inch of ginger finely chopped
- 4-5 medium sized green chilis finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- half a teaspoon red chili powder
- table salt as per taste
- 5-6 tablespoons refined flour
- 2-3 tablespoons of fine suji
- About 100g of grated paneer
- Red food color
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 3-4 tablespoon milk
- mixed herbs seasoning
- Oil for deep frying
- A pinch of chaat masala
- Take a big mixing bowl. Add in the chopped vegetables one by one namely cabbage, carrots, capsicum, ginger, garlic and green chilis.
- Give the vegetables a good mix. Now add table salt into them and keep them aside. This will let the vegetables loose water.
- After sometime, add in the mashed potatoes, red chili powder and chili flakes.
- Now add refined flour and suji into the vegetables in sequence of 2 spoons of refined flour and then 1 spoon of suji. This will ensure uniform mixing and binding. Adjust the quantities as per consistency.
- Now add red flood color and more of salt as per taste.
- Once the mixture is ready, add in the grated paneer and give the components a good mix.
- Now to deep fry the bullets, take a pan with oil and keep it on high flame until hot.
- To shape the bullets, take a polybag and apply a bit of oil o its top. Keep a dollop of batter on the bag and roll it between your palms in lengths of about 4 inches and diameter around 1 cms.
- Fry the bullets adjusting the flame to mid once the oil is superhot. Ensure uniform frying of about 6-7 minutes per bullet.
- Drain off the excess oil and sprinkle some chaat masala on them.
- To make a mixed herb dip, take a spoon of mayonnaise in a bowl. Add milk and all herb seasoning to it, Give it a good mix. Your dip is ready.
- You can adjust the shape and size of bullets as per your choice, smaller, longer, thicker, thinner etc.
- You can add in more potatoes to it and less of cabbage.
- You can use black pepper instead of red chili powder.
